Hello,

I'm Zoltan Finok, a passionate and experienced private woodwind teacher specializing in saxophone, clarinet, flute, and recorder. With over 25 years of music instrument teaching experience, I have had the privilege of nurturing musical talents at three prestigious international schools in Budapest: British International School (1995-2018), American International School (1996-2015, 2019-), and Deutsche Schule (2015-).

My love affair with woodwinds began early on, as I picked up my first instrument, the recorder, at the age of 7. From there, I explored the clarinet, saxophone, and flute, immersing myself in the joy of playing each one. This passion has remained with me ever since.

But I gotta confess, in my childhood, like all children who learn a musical instrument, I faced moments when playing football with my buddies seemed more appealing then practicing my instrument…

However, my journey to becoming a professional musician started at the age of 14 when the importance of regular daily practice became clear. I locked in those daily practice sessions, sometimes for hours on end! The clarinet became my ultimate passion. This experience taught me the value of setting long-term goals and working towards them persistently, with smiling joy.

Following my conservatory graduation, I had the honor of joining the Central Military Band and later as a pro musician to perform in diverse musical settings such as brass bands, big bands, theater bands, and jazz bands. These experiences shaped me into a versatile musician and left me with unforgettable memories. At the age of 25, after completing my jazz saxophone studies, I discovered a new calling – teaching woodwind instruments.
